Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion Developer id Software Category arcade OS MS-DOS Year 1991 Rating

Compared to the first part, the graphics have undergone drastic changes, however, as well as the gameplay. Now you do not need to collect prize cups to open the door to the next level. River Raid Developer Activision Category shoot 'em up OS MS-DOS Year 1992 Rating

The player controls a plane that flies over a river between its banks. Along the way, there are ships, helicopters, airships and other objects that the player can destroy by shooting vertically upwards. While moving upwards, the plane can move left and right at the player's command. The location of land and water in the game was not predetermined - this would require too much memory; instead, a shift register algorithm with linear feedback with a fixed initial value was used.
Retro Gamer in 2008 put the game in 3rd place in its rating of the best games for the Atari 2600. download >>

novert.com is a terminate-and-stay-resident program, for the purpose to turn off vertical movement of the mouse in DOS-based games (DOOM especially).
Usage: type "novert" in DOS or a DOS window for turning it on, and type "novert /u" to turn it off.
