VIA 4in1 Chipset driver pack
Kits for motherboards based on VIA chips for retro OS,
release date: 25-Oct-2001,
OS support: Windows 98SE, Windows 98, Windows 95.
Win95/98/98SE are now retro operating systems and the latest driver release no longer supports them. Users of VIA chipsets running Win95/98/98SE use the provided 4in1 version of the driver, getting a
stable and responsive system. If you add new hardware to your system and run into any problems, simply updating these drivers should be enough. The inf file for these drivers (which contains the chipset
IDs) is dated 2001. If you are running Win98SE on a 2002 or later system, you will need to find another driver that matches your hardware.
VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers are compatible with any VIA chipset of the time. It should be noted that many users are using drivers older than 4.43, indicating their stability, but this is not necessary.
I personally tested them on my boards in various tests like Everest and SiSoft Sandra and can safely recommend them for the following chipsets: MVP#, Apollo Pro## series, KT1##, KN1##, KM1##, KT2##,
KT333, KN2##, KM2##, P4X2##, P4X3##, P4M2##.
Memory Interleave Enabler for VIA Chipsets
This is a driver for Windows 9X, NT, and 200X. It will increase the speed of certain computers. When installed on a computer whose motherboard contains certain VIA chipsets, this driver will reprogram
the VIA chipset in order to maximize the speed of the computer's RAM. This driver takes control of the main VIA-branded chip on the computers' motherboard, which is the chip responsible for connecting the
CPU to the RAM and ROM and PCI and AGP and so forth. This driver adjusts the way that the VIA chip communicates with the computer's RAM.
The attached archive contains other utilities and drivers for VIA chipsets. This product CAN DAMAGE A COMPUTER. Use it carefully and at your own risk.
